Duro: A coffee table book
CHALLENGE Much of skate media focuses on the biggest tricks, biggest names, and most impressive moments. The challenge was creating a publication that captured the side of skateboarding that often goes unnoticed, the style, culture, and small details that make the community so unique. APPROACH I designed Duro as a coffee table book rather than a traditional skate magazine, using editorial design, photography, and city-focused storytelling to create a slower, more curated experience. Each issue explores a different North American city, highlighting local riders, skate spots, and the culture surrounding them. OUTCOME The result is a collectible publication that feels more like a visual guide to skateboarding than a performance archive, offering both skaters and non-skaters a deeper look into what makes the culture so meaningful.
